March 2011, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, which later turned out to actually be a triple negative. This type of cancer is known to be a very aggressive type. The doctors came to the conclusion that I would indeed need to have a lumpectomy, which turned out to be a huge success. Even though the surgery worked it still needed to have several rounds of chemotherapy treatments and radiation done.
Having heard so many horrible stories about chemotherapy from the sickness, weight loss, and not to mention the possibility of hair loss. I was okay with the being sick part, however the possibility of losing my hair was a whole other story and one that I was not sitting well with. The thought of one day waking up and not seeing my hair on my head was a very emotional rollercoaster for me.Well sure enough three weeks after my first treatment, my hair started to come out. I knew that I had to brace myself. Within five days my hair was gone! Nothing! No strings! No frizzles! Hair that took years to grow only took a day or so to lose. Yes I did cry!! I didn’t know where to start, or what I needed to do to get it back. Wigs became my best friend during the remainder of my treatments. I even began to notice a big difference in my skin, it was darker and very dull.

Yes I was sick, however, I knew that I didn't want to look like what I was going through. That’s when I made up my mind I was going to come out better! My faith Is what kept the hope alive that I would get my hair back, but when , How fast, and how much? Throughout the remainder of my chemotherapy treatments I was told that there was a chance that my hair wouldn’t come back and if it did it would come back very weak and frail for the first year or so. I began the long research process on how to help my hair come back healthier and stronger than it was before my cancer. I researched a lot of information and knowledge about the many different natural ingredients and how they aided in reducing and repairing damage done to healthy tissue by providing nutrients for healthy cell growth.
